BriAnna Souder, D.O., M.S., is a Pediatric Cardiologist at Children’s HealthSM. Her care focuses on fetal echocardiography, single ventricle disease and infants with congenital heart disease along with general pediatric cardiology.
Dr. Souder earned her M.S. in Medical Science and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Duke University and a fellowship in quality improvement, patient safety and advanced cardiac imaging at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Souder is passionate about quality improvement, an area of medicine that strives to keep making medicine and health care better. She also conducts cardiology research, and many of her research projects focus on best practices and techniques for cardiac imaging.
“I love to be a guide for patients and their families through difficult times,” Dr. Souder says. “Additionally, the ability to maintain continuity of care from prior to birth until adulthood is a great joy and honor of this specialty. I will always advocate for my patients, whatever the need may be.”
Outside of work, Dr. Souder enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She loves to travel, cook, bake and stay active.
